Cinderella Trail Run
The Cinderella Trail Run takes place in Joaquin Miller Park and traverses nearby Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. The course winds through tall redwoods on Sequoia-Bayview and French trails and finishes on the technical Cinderella trail, sometimes called the "Wicked Step Sisters" trail. Distances are measured with a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel.
Available distances:
- 8K
- Half Marathon
- 30K
- Marathon
- 50K
- Kid's Run (6 years and younger, 50 yard dash, free)
Elevation gain varies by distance, from about 725 feet for the 8K up to about 5,495 feet for the 50K. Course surfaces are primarily single-track and dirt road with no asphalt reported. The route is marked with color-coded ribbon approximately every 200 yards; polka-dot flagging indicates required turns and blue ribbons mark incorrect directions.
Aid stations are fully stocked every 3 to 6 miles and typically offer fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are recommended to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own fluid container. Drop bags are permitted for the 30K, Marathon, and 50K at the start/finish. Parking at Joaquin Miller Park is free. Headphones are allowed on dirt roads only and are not allowed on single-track sections or at aid stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
