Chuckanut 50k
The Chuckanut 50k is an ultra-endurance trail race based in Fairhaven, Washington, organized by Runner Girl Races, LLC. The event uses a lollipop course that starts and finishes on the Interurban Trail, with the opening and closing segments offering about 10k of smoother trail running.
The middle section of the course covers roughly 30k along the Chuckanut Mountain Ridge and includes technical terrain, exposed ridge running, and significant elevation gain reported as 5,000 feet. Variable Pacific Northwest weather and mountain conditions can affect the ridge sections. Course materials include maps, course videos, and virtual route GPX files.
The event also features a kids race consisting of repeated 1/2 mile loops done within a 30 minute window. Registration and official race results are hosted on Pacific MultiSports. The event applies for insurance and is sanctioned through USATF.
Organizers note affiliations and commitments related to conservation and equity: the race entity has been a member of the Conservation Alliance since 2010, and the event aligns with a commitment to equal podium spots, equal prize money and awards, women’s specific swag and apparel, menstrual products at aid stations, and equal opportunity and space for women on the starting line. A livestream covered the 2026 event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
