The Chino Hills Trail Run takes place at Chino Hills State Park in Brea, California, and offers two ultra trail distances. The courses run through hillsides, chaparral and oak woodlands and use park trails and scenic viewpoints.

Aid stations are located at named points on the course. Telegraph Canyon / Little Canyon is a water-only station (30K at 4.5 and 15.25 miles; 50K at 4.5 and 27.5 miles). The 4-Corners mid-station serves the course at 7.5 miles and later markers (30K at 13 miles; 50K at 24 miles). Bane Canyon functions as a drop-bag station and a turnaround point for the 30K at 10.25 miles. The 50K passes Bane Canyon multiple times (check-ins at about 10.25, 16.5, and 21 miles) with routing notes between trails.
The event uses the Discovery Center parking lot at 4500 Carbon Canyon Road, Brea, CA 92823; a $10 parking fee is paid by QR code. Alternative parking options include Carbon Canyon Regional Park (about $5 entry fee) and Olinda Ranch Park, which is free but about a one mile walk to the start area.
