Castle 2 Castle Ultra

The Castle 2 Castle Ultra is an ultramarathon event held on Saturday 13 March 2027 between Welshpool and Chirk. The race starts in the grounds of Powis Estate and finishes at Caffi Wylfa in Chirk. Race HQ is at Powis Estate / Town Hall, Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7JQ, a short walk from several town centre car parks.

The course distance is 32 miles and follows a mix of flat fast paths and undulating public footpaths with some inclines and varied views. Organisers plan two water and food stations located at about 11 miles and 21 miles. Finishers receive a finishers plate and additional goodies at Caffi Wylfa.

The event has a minimum age of 20 years. Organisers provide logistical support that includes a shuttle option from Chirk to the start area, and information for parking in Welshpool. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.

The event page notes a course map, live tracking, a results service, and a runner handbook prepared for participants. The event is listed as sold out for this edition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
