Capitan Mountain 34 Hour
Capitan Mountain 34 Hour is a multi-distance trail endurance event held April 16–17, 2027 in Capitan, New Mexico, organized by Yeti Trail Runners. The event features a looped mountain course with a central aid station and a crew-optional layout.
The course is described as soft and runnable, consisting of approximately four-mile loops. Pacers are permitted during overnight hours. Professional chip timing provides real-time tracking, live lap counting, and split displays for competitors.
Distances and timed options include:
- 34 hour event: 100 mile and 80 mile options
- 12 hour event (Hotfoot Teddy)
- 6 hour event (Rabbit) All other distances from 25K upward are counted and finisher awards are provided.
On-site amenities include a food truck offering lunch, dinner, and midnight snacks for 34 hour participants. Camping is available at the start/finish area on a first-come, first-served basis under BLM rules, with some RV water hookups.
