Candy Land Run

Candy Land Run takes place from November 28 to December 5, 2026, at Candy Mountain in Richland, Washington. The event uses local trails and presents candy themed stations, costumed Candy Land characters, and marked routes with volunteers on course.

Distances offered:

  • 3.5 miles Chocolate Route, 545 ft elevation gain, to the top of the mountain and back
  • Virtual distance of choice, Nov 28 to Dec 5

Course features include a themed route map to collect a stamp at each candy station, marked trails, and photo opportunities with characters such as King Kandy and others. Hot cocoa and gingerbread cookies are provided at stations. The 3.5 mile routes are chip timed and will be timed by Eastern Oregon Sports Timing; the 1.25 mile route is not timed.

A special RUCK challenge requires a dry carried weight of 20 to 30 pounds; packs are weighed at the start, weighted vests are not allowed, and acceptable weight forms include ruck plates, sandbags, or non perishable food. All finishers receive a wooden finisher medal; RUCK finishers receive a custom rucking patch. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers in the 3.5 mile distance for places one through three.

Registration opens in late May with early pricing through October 1, 2026; online registration remains open until the start of each distance or until entries are full. No in person registration will be available. Parking and bib pick up details will be announced.
