About the race
The International Bromo Marathon 2026 is the 13th edition of a trail running event held on 6 September 2026 in Tosari, East Java, at Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The event offers multiple race categories over volcanic highland terrain and is an official UTMB Index race with ITRA certification and international ranking points.

Transportation options listed include shuttle services from Juanda Airport, Gubeng Station, and Malang Station. The organizer requires mandatory safety and support gear for longer distances; items checked at BIB collection and missing mandatory gear results in disqualification. Mandatory items required for 10K, 21K, and 42K races include a running vest or belt, minimum 1 L hydration (soft flask or water bladder), snack or energy bar, mobile phone with GPX file, personal medicine, waterproof jacket, emergency whistle, buff or neck gaiter, BIB number, headlamp with spare batteries, ID card, and foot gaiter.
