About the race
Gunungronggo Trail Run 2026 is a trail running event held in Desa Gunungronggo, Kecamatan Tajinan, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, with the venue at Sumber Jenon. The course highlights local points of interest including Sumber Jenon, Puncak Gunungronggo, Jembatan Pelor, village rice fields, and forest sections, combining uphill segments, forest tracks, and rural scenery across each kilometer.
The event offers two race categories:
- 7K Explorer
- 17K Challenger
Registered participants receive a jersey, finisher medal, BIB number, racepack goodie bag, refreshment, access to water stations, medical support, event documentation, and eligibility for doorprizes and podium prizes per category. The 17K category includes a limited edition 17K finisher tee.
Event facilities at the venue include an UMKM and culinary area, medical post, prayer room, toilets, parking, photo booth, water stations, and an official merchandise booth selling items such as jerseys, caps, buffs, totebags, tumblers, stickers, pins, and keychains while stock lasts.
Mandatory gear requirements differ by category. For 7K participants minimum gear includes BIB, trail shoes, at least 300 ml water, snack or energy source, carrying system, phone with GPX file, and basic first aid. For 17K participants similar items are required with at least 500 ml water and additional optional items listed by the organizer.
