Breckenridge Oktoberfest
Breckenridge Oktoberfest takes place in historic downtown Breckenridge from September 25 to 27, 2026. The 30th annual event centers on Main Street and combines traditional German food and music with collectible steins and a variety of local and international beverage options.
The program includes live music from several bands, stein hoisting contests on each day, and a newly expanded Kid Zone at the south end of Main Street that runs all three days and features activities such as a bounce house and face painting presented by the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Admission to the street festival is free; food, steins and beverages are available for purchase and alcoholic drink purchases are cashless.
Brews, canned beers and nonalcoholic options are offered by multiple breweries and brands. Pre-purchased steins are available for pick up at the Riverwalk Center and include one free drink credit. The event uses reusable r.Cups for alcoholic beverages, provides water refill stations, and requires food and drink vendors to participate in a compost program as part of broader sustainability efforts.
A separate Oktoberfest 5K trail run is held on Saturday on Town of Breckenridge trails and finishes in Blue River Plaza on Main Street. The race is limited to 300 runners; the first 250 registrants receive a long sleeve tech tee and participants aged 21 and over receive one complimentary beer. Pets are not permitted at the festival except for service animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
