Bouncing Buns Clothing Optional 5.5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The event is held at Sunny Rest Resort in Palmerton, PA and offers two distances:
- 5.5K (3.41 miles)
- 1 Mile fun run/walk
The 5.5K course is described as about 40% non-technical trail and 60% road. The 1 Mile fun run is primarily on road. The event is clothing optional; clothing may be worn anywhere on the property except in the pool or hot tubs, and participants may be dressed poolside.
Entry or spectator fees include use of resort facilities for the day, including pool, hot tubs, poolside bar, restaurant, gym, trails, volleyball and tennis. A separate spectator resort entry fee applies for those not entered in the race. Part of each entry fee is donated to the American Cancer Society and additional donations are optional.
Participants must be 18 or older to enter the race or use the facility unless accompanied by a parent. Registration includes a race shirt while supplies last and entry fee pricing varies by date and membership status. Awards are given to top male and female finishers and across multiple age groups; Sunny Rest members are also eligible for top member awards. Results are posted online using first name, last initial, state, age and gender. Photography is requested to be avoided and a signed waiver acknowledging race risks is required.
