Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon

The Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon is a waymarked trail race around Derwentwater and the surrounding fells near Keswick, Cumbria. The course covers 21 kilometres on hilly terrain and is run as a single lap. The route is marked so competitors do not need navigation skills.

The event is organised by Fellside Events Ltd and licensed by the Trail Running Association under UK Athletics rules. Registration and the finish are at Crow Park, Lake Road, Keswick, CA12 5DJ and the start is at Lingholm. Entry is limited to 200 places. Entrants must be aged 17 or older on race day.

Facilities at the race include water stations, toilets and baggage storage. There are no distance markers on the course and there are no changing facilities or showers. A coffee van will be on site selling drinks and food. Each finisher receives a bespoke medal and event photographs will be available to download. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first place in each age group.

Entry fees differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. Assuming the event has not sold out, limited entry on the day is available for an additional fee. Entrants are required to provide an emergency contact name and number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
