Gargrave Show
The Gargrave Show is an annual agricultural and horticultural event held on the grounds fronting Eshton Hall in Gargrave, North Yorkshire. The edition described is the 120th running of the show.
Exhibits and competitions cover a range of rural activities, including livestock and equine classes. Official class categories include equine, cattle, sheep and dog classes, together with crafts, baking and horticulture classes for all ages. Entry forms are used for classes and entries close at the start of August.
The event includes a fell race that starts from the main ring and offers separate races for under 9s, under 12s, under 14s, under 17s and seniors. Family-oriented attractions include bouncy castles, children’s sports, egg throwing, carnival games and ice cream.
Food and drink at the show feature local produce and handmade goods from artisan bakers, butchers, artists and other local traders. There is an opportunity to support the show through a Vice President scheme; benefits for Vice Presidents include on-field parking, a two course meal and reserved viewing in the main ring.
