Blue Goat Backyard Marathon (Blue Goat Backyard 2026)
The event is an outdoor trail running event set in the backyard of Blue Mountains Fitness’ Tony Williams in Mount Victoria, NSW. It uses two looped courses: a new 5 km loop for the Last One Standing and the 5 km run, and a 10.5 km loop used by the other distances. Entry is capped at 200 participants.

Course marking includes flagging tape, arrows on trees and signage. Participants must carry at minimum a snake bandage and a 500 ml bottle or flask, and are asked to carry a mobile phone and a headlamp if they will run at night. Shoes are required. Sunscreen and a cap are recommended. Water will be available at all checkpoints and additional provisions may be provided.
Race procedures cover responsible behaviour on course, litter removal rules, and withdrawal reporting to checkpoint or event staff. Event staff and directors have authority over participant continuation for health and safety reasons. Wildlife may be present on the course, including snakes, lizards and wallabies, and participants are advised to watch their footing.
