Beyond Nottingham 2027

Beyond Nottingham offers two urban trail distances that leave the busy streets and use Nottingham's green spaces and quieter trails. Both distances start and finish in the centre of Nottingham, at Carrington St, NG2 1EE.

  • 55 km Ultra: city and countryside via Colwick, Burton Joyce, Holme Pierrepont, Wollaton Park
  • 25 km Trail Run: route via Colwick, River Trent trails, Wollaton Park and city parks

The 55 km route combines riverside paths, countryside trails, parkland and some quieter road sections as it passes through Colwick, Burton Joyce, Holme Pierrepont, West Bridgford and Wollaton Park before returning to the city. The 25 km route uses a mix of quieter paths and open green spaces near the River Trent, crosses the city and then heads west through Wollaton and surrounding parks.

Entries include a bespoke finisher's medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a fully signed route, chip timing, a GPX file and finish line refreshments. A bag drop is available at the start and finish. There are three feed stations on the 55 km route (12.7 km, 29 km, 42 km) and two on the 25 km route (7.5 km, 14.5 km); all feed stations have toilets and first aid. Medical support is provided on the course.

Runners are expected to carry essentials such as a running backpack, water or fluids, a charged mobile phone with emergency contacts, food or gels, a lightweight jacket and the race director's contact number. The official cut off time is 6:00pm when pack down and course sweeps begin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
