Bell Ringer Trail Run
The Bell Ringer Trail Run is a trail event at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN taking place on December 12, 2026. The event offers multiple distances that run on the park's trail network and directs proceeds to the Friends of Montgomery Bell State Park.
Distances:
- 50K (about 31 miles), includes a race shirt, swag bag, and an extra gift for completing the longest distance
- 25K, includes a race shirt and swag bag
- 15K, includes a race shirt and swag bag
The course contains multiple uphill and downhill sections with terrain described as moderate difficulty. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 to 6 miles and offer water and assorted snacks; the race is cupless so participants must bring their own water bottle or hydration pack. Drop bags are allowed and may be sent from the conference center to Aid Station 3, located at mile 8.8; on subsequent passes runners may keep items at that aid station or have them returned to the conference center.
There are hard time cutoffs at mile 7, mile 21, mile 27.25 and at the finish; runners arriving after those cutoffs will be asked to stop and will be provided transportation back to the Inn. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in each distance, with awards made from park wood; all finishers receive finisher medals.
Registration closes December 10, 2026. The event notes a refund policy and a bib transfer window ending December 10, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
