2026 Barrel Oak Turkey Trot 3k & 6k
The event is a fall running event held at Barrel Oak Winery in Delaplane, Virginia on November 15. It offers two measured distances and both in-person and virtual participation options. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Sippin’ Series.
The course is a cross-country route around the vineyards with some gravel and dirt road sections and noticeable hills. The 6k is two laps of the 3k route. Walkers and leashed pets are permitted on the course.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, chip timing, and a glass of wine or beer from Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery as part of the in-person experience. Water and Gatorade are provided at set stations along each route; the 6k has four water stations and the 3k has two, with approximate mile markers indicated on course materials. Restrooms are available in the winery.
Live results will be posted online during the event, and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in standard age categories; overall top-3 finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
