Barnyard Squatch 5K
Barnyard Squatch 5K is a trail race hosted by Sassquad Trail Running on 10/25/2026 at The Barnyard Sanctuary in New Jersey. The main event distance is 5K.
The course is described as hilly with over 500 feet of elevation gain. Terrain includes rolling hills, dirt paths, and open pastures. The route is not flat and winds directly past the spacious enclosures of hundreds of rescued farm animals, including cows, horses, emus, peacocks, pigs, goats, sheep, and a water buffalo.
General registration for the 5K opens on 8/6/2026 and closes on 9/30/2026; the listed registration fee is $40.00. A separate Hardship Entry option is available for registrants with financial need; organizers will provide a code and may award full or partial scholarships. Community donations to the Squatch Community Fund are accepted to support the sanctuary.
