About the race

Blended’s Backyard Ultra takes place on Saturday 5 June 2027 at Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover, Hampshire (SO24 9TX). The event uses a private trail loop that starts and finishes on the northern edge of Godsfield Copse and passes the Bugmore Hill trig point.

The loop is 6706 m (about 4.16 miles) with approximately 120 m of elevation gain and loss per lap. Underfoot the route includes field sidings, woodland paths and sections of gravel track. The route is waymarked and is subject to change.

The event follows the backyard-ultra format: runners complete the loop in under one hour and repeat it each hour for as long as they can; there is no predefined finish and the last person to complete a loop is the winner. Camping and registration are available from Friday 4 June 2027 and the campground covers Friday to Sunday nights.

On-site facilities include a welcome drink, a well stocked fuel station at camp, water stations on route and in camp, toilets, hot water for drinks, event photography, 24/7 medical support and race timing. Hot food is available to purchase from the Yard Cafe. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and badge; a single winners prize of £100 and a free entry to the 2028 event are listed.

The organisers describe a secluded camp tucked into the edge of Godsfield Copse with views across the surrounding rural landscape. Sustainability measures include cupless water stations, shoe recycling and efforts to reduce waste. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
