Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA
Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA is scheduled for August 14, 2027 in Maple Grove, MN and includes a virtual option. The event uses a Backyard Ultra format on trails where participants complete repeated 5K laps until they stop or reach 50K.
Each 5K lap is treated as an official finish. Participants may join for a single 5K lap or continue for multiple laps; those who complete successive 5K laps can finish the full 50K. The event is presented by Human Race Inc and all registration fees are directed to Children’s MN Cancer Fund.
Distances
- 5K single lap
- Up to 50K by completing sequential 5K laps
The race is accepted as part of the RRCA Championship Series 50K; medals are awarded to individuals in age groups who complete the 50K distance fastest. It is also part of the Upper Midwest Trail Runners Too Fun Trail Run series, where UMTR members earn season points for participation. A virtual option allows participants to run local 5K routes and receive race day swag by mail.
Event logistics note that a primary covered area at the start/finish will provide water, swag, and snacks. Participants, crew, family, and fans are welcome, and children may participate without a registration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
