Autumn Leaves 50M/50K/30K : St. Paul, OR
Autumn Leaves is a multi-distance loop race held at Champoeg State Heritage Area in St. Paul, OR. The course is a 10 km loop composed of about 80% paved bike path and 20% dirt single track. The route is described as very flat with small rollers and is typically runnable in road shoes. Runners should plan to use a headlamp for the first lap because it will be dark.

Loop counts and time limits are specified: 50K runners complete five loops and 50 mile runners complete eight loops. Fifty mile competitors have 11 hours to complete eight laps; an optional early start allows 12 hours for completion. Pacer rules allow pacers for the final laps of 50K and 50 mile races; pacers must sign a waiver, wear a pacer bib, and may not carry supplies for their runner. Support crew access is available at the start/finish and at a mid-course aid station near Oak Grove.
The event provides two aid stations on course, a covered drop bag area at start/finish, and portapotties including a mid-course toilet. The race is cupless so participants should bring their own hydration. Awards are given by division and place, plus a Spirit of Autumn Leaves prize. A Pay It Forward fund offers donated race credits and organizers encourage members of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities to apply for fee coverage. A pregnancy and lactation deferral option is available if requested before October 10, 2026. Registration opens June 1, prices increase October 19, and registration closes October 22, 2026.
