Buck Mountain Trail Run
Buck Mountain Trail Run takes place on February 27, 2027, at Silver Falls State Park, using the Howard Creek Horse Camp start and finish area near Silverton, Oregon. This is the 17th annual running of the event. The organizer has introduced a new scenic 4.5 mile loop that is mostly single track with a few gravel and paved sections and about 430 feet of elevation gain and loss per loop; it has less elevation than the previous course.
Timing and the course are open for six hours, and runners may complete as many loops as they wish within that window. Individual lap times are recorded and posted after each completed loop. An aid station is located at the start/finish of each loop (mile 4.5). After finishing, participants can expect refreshments, food, beer, and snacks.
Registration details supplied by the organizer include an opening date of December 1, 2026 and a closing date of February 1, 2027, with a registration fee of $45.00. The course supports multiple lap options allowing a variety of total distances determined by how many loops a participant completes.
