Autumn Harvest Trail Weekend
The Autumn Harvest Trail Weekend is a two day trail event at Lake Bastrop South Shore and North Shore Parks on October 10-11, 2026. It offers a range of trail distances and a backyard ultra format that runs on a repeating loop.
Distances offered include:
- 50K

- 10K
- 5-Miler
- 5K
- Big Bastrop Backyard Ultra (4.167 miles per loop)
- Last Rucker Standing (5.1 km loop, weighted ruck)
The Big Bastrop Backyard Ultra uses a one-loop-every-hour format on the Gideon Loop. Each loop is roughly 4.167 miles and must be completed within the hour to count; runners who miss the cutoff are eliminated. A cumulative time tiebreaker decides winners if multiple runners reach the event cut-off. Headlamps and night gear are required for night running. The backyard event has a field cap and a parallel Loblolly Redemption loop for those who fail to complete the main loop.
Long-distance courses use the North-South Trailway and Gideon Loop with rolling terrain, single-track and wider sections, loblolly pines, and lakeside views. Aid stations are located roughly every 2.5 miles on long events and about every 2.1 miles on the Backyard Loop, with full support at the start and finish.
Every registration includes a finisher medal, race shirt if registered by September 15, chip timing, stocked aid stations, medical support, and race photography. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
