Texmas Trail Race
Texmas Trail Race takes place in mid-December at Buescher State Park in Smithville, Texas, and is limited to 500 runners. The event offers multiple looped trail distances and a team relay option.

The course is a mix of narrow paths and single-track trails with some smaller inclines and rocky sections. Each loop has about 450 feet of elevation gain and descent.
Two full aid stations are on course, located at approximately 3.12 miles (Gate L off Turkey Run) and 7.20 miles (start/finish). Aid stations are fully stocked with Texas-style foods and drinks including electrolyte drinks, sodas, sweets, salty snacks, PB&Js, bean burrito rolls, fruit, medical supplies (no NSAIDs), and warm evening foods such as quesadillas and soups. The event is cupless at aid stations; runners are expected to use reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs. Drop bags may be left only at the main aid station on a designated tarp.
Pacers are permitted only for the 104k solo entry and only after completion of loop five; pacers must have a signed waiver and a pacing bib. Crew access is limited to the main aid station. Packet pickup begins on December 12 with additional pickup on race morning. Parking inside the park accommodates about 150 cars and a shuttle operates from Rocky Hill Ranch, roughly four miles away. Park entry for this special event is $5 per person unless under 13 years old and the fee is collected at packet pickup.
Race apparel is distributed by distance: shirts for all distances except the 104k, and hoodies for the 104k. Finisher awards and winner awards are provided, with top place recognitions and medal engraving available near the finish area.
