Apple Festival 5K - Lincolnton
The Apple Festival 5K is a timed 3.1 mile run/walk held in Lincolnton, North Carolina. The event starts and finishes at Lincolnton High School, located at 803 N Aspen St, and follows a primarily rail-trail out-and-back course along the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail. The course crosses N. Aspen Street toward Dixon Street before entering the rail trail and returning to the high school for the finish.
The race supports United Way of Lincoln County. A complimentary shuttle will run from Lincolnton High School to Downtown Lincolnton after the race to connect participants with the county Apple Festival. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 16, from 4:30-6:00 PM at Lincolnton High School; in-person registration will be available at pickup.
Registration details listed by the organizer include a $30 fee and registration opening and closing dates. Registrations received by October 5, 2026 are guaranteed an event T-shirt and apple-themed swag bag; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or swag. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female and to top male and female finishers in each age group, plus one award for the fastest stroller participant.
