About the race

Apex Ultra Trials is an outdoor endurance event around King George’s Parks, inspired by the Backyard Ultra format with its own twist. On 3 October 2026 participants complete a 3.5 km loop every 30 minutes. Finish a loop, recover and refuel, then set off again when the next 30 minute window begins.

The challenge is capped at 12 hours, 24 loops and 84 km. Entries are available for individuals or as pairs; pairs alternate loops and share the workload. The event emphasizes steady pacing, energy management and attention to the body and mind rather than speed.

Support on site includes physios and therapists, medical assistance and free food and beverage products from sponsors. Athlete entry also includes access to an after party that features free Jubel Beers for participants. The event is organised by Apex Fitness LDN and is based at Unit 3 Glenville Mews, Earlsfield, London SW18 4NJ, with the course routed around King George’s Parks.

Entry pricing is listed as £60 for an individual place and £100 for a pairs place. The format allows participants to track how many loops they can complete within the time cap, either solo or sharing the effort with a teammate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
