About the race
The Amport Trail Run is organised by Muddy Runners on behalf of Amport Cricket Club and takes place in the Hampshire countryside at Amport Cricket Club, Monxton Road, Amport, near Andover SP11 8BA. The event for 2027 is scheduled for Sunday 14 March 2027 and features multi-terrain cross-country routes that use private land and public paths.
Distances offered:
- 5k with age minimum 7 years; under 11s must be accompanied by a responsible adult with their own entry
- 10k with age minimum 12 years
- 10 mile with age minimum 17 years
- Canicross available for 5k and 10k entrants
Routes are undulating and hilly with a mixture of trail, tarmac, dirt and single tracks. The course includes a single road crossing at the route start and finish, overhanging trees, rough terrain, mud, holes and ruts. The route will be waymarked and marshals will be present. Headphones are allowed on most sections but must be removed when running across or alongside any road or when encountering a marshal.
Entry is by pre-registration only; there are no entries on the day and entry closes at 10pm on the Saturday before the event. The event is cupless at water stations; participants should bring their own cup or bottle. Toilets and first aid are available, and parking is directed to the cricket club parking area.
