Alton 10K Off-Road Trail Challenge : 12 September 2026

The event takes place on 12 September 2026 with registration at the White Hart, Alton, Staffordshire, ST10 4AQ. The 2026 course follows the same route used in 2025 and includes sections through Dimmingsdale. The route minimizes tarmac and runs mainly on gravel tracks and woodland trails, with a section that passes through the historic grounds of Alton Castle, which are normally closed to the public.

The event offers two options:

  • 10 km Trail Run, 14+; online entry only; £14 online, £15 on the day
  • 2 mile Fun Run; under 10s must be accompanied by an adult; entry £5

The event is limited to 150 participants and places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Online entries are only available for the 10 km trail; entries for the Fun Run must be made on the day. Free parking is available at the Alton Village Hall car park. Dogs are permitted if well behaved and kept on leads. Medals are provided for all finishers. The event raises money for two local charities. Organizers advise allowing extra time for arrival because of possible delays related to Alton Towers traffic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
