Alice Springs Masters Games - Orienteering
Orienteering at the Alice Springs Masters Games runs within the Games program held in Alice Springs, Northern Territory from 10 to 17 October 2026. Courses take place at three local venues: Telegraph Station, Desert Park and the Golf Club.
Entry to each orienteering event carries a fee of $20 plus the Games entry fee. Entries close on 30 September 2026. Competitors must be at least 35 years old as of 31 December 2026. Age divisions are 35-49, 50-64 and 65 and over.
Events are organised into gender categories and formats: Mens and Womens Foot Orienteering, Mens and Womens Twilight Foot Orienteering, and Mens and Womens Mountain Bike Orienteering. Competitors navigate between checkpoints using maps and compass while being timed, combining map-reading and navigational skills with physical effort.
The orienteering program is part of the wider Masters Games schedule that runs across the week. Practical details such as venue locations, event formats and fees are provided for participants; additional sport-specific arrangements are managed through the Games sport coordination.
