963 Beulah Challenge
The 963 Beulah Challenge is a timed night trail race held at Greensfelder County Park in Wildwood, Missouri. Organized by Terrain Trail Runners, this event follows a community-centered approach and is capped at 75 participants. The race takes place on the Beulah Loop, a course consisting entirely of single-track dirt trail with technical features such as rocks and roots. Each loop covers 4.2 miles with approximately 397 feet of elevation gain and 397 feet of elevation loss.
Participants can choose from three timed durations:
- 9 Hours
- 6 Hours
- 3 Hours
All events conclude at midnight. For the 2027 edition, the loop is run in a counter-clockwise direction. To maintain the event's permit and respect limited space at the Beulah Shelter, no crew, pacers, or spectators are permitted at the venue. Only registered runners are allowed on-site.
The event follows an "old school" format without traditional medals, awards, or race photography. Instead, runners who complete specific distances within their allotted time receive a souvenir. A portion of the proceeds is donated to Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC) to support local trail maintenance. This is a cup-free and zero-waste event; runners must provide their own hydration vessels.
