8 Maids a Milking Virtual Run

The 8 Maids a Milking is part of the organiser's 12 Days of Christmas race series. For 2026 the event is only available as a virtual event and can be completed anywhere in the world. Entrants may choose one of these distances:

  • 5k (each lap 2.5k)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

There is a seven hour time limit to complete the chosen distance. The event is described as suitable for walkers and runners. The usual on-course description for the in-person edition notes an offroad route within the grounds of Pengethley Manor with a hill and sections through vineyards; for 2026 the event is virtual so participants may complete their run wherever they are.

Virtual entries receive a personalised virtual bib by email, which may take a day or two to arrive. Medals for virtual entries are the same type as the race medals and are posted after a run is verified. Verification options include joining the organiser's Strava club and the event within it, or sending proof such as a photo of a device recording. International postage carries an additional cost.

Entry fees are non refundable. Available 2026 pricing includes a Virtual UK entry fee and a Virtual Overseas entry fee, with a charity entry option that requires a lower upfront fee plus a commitment to raise a minimum sponsorship amount before the event. All entrants must be aged 18 or over and are responsible for their fitness and safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
