About the race
The 4 Calling Birds Run is part of a 12 Days of Christmas race series. For 2026 the event is available only as a virtual event and entries may be completed from anywhere in the world.
Entrants choose one of these distances:
- 5k (two laps of 2.5k)
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
Each entry has a seven hour time limit to complete the chosen distance. The event is described as suitable for walkers and runners. When held on site the course is off-road within the grounds of Pengethley Manor and includes a hill plus a series of ups and downs through vineyard sections; for 2026 the event is virtual so participants complete their runs at a location of their choice.
Virtual entries receive a personalised virtual bib by email and paid entrants receive the same type of medal as on-site finishers once their run is verified. A free option exists where participants may join the organiser’s Strava club and be included on the results list but will not receive a medal. Virtual UK and overseas entry fees are stated separately and international postage for medals carries an additional cost. All entry fees are non refundable and entrants must be aged 18 or over.
