24 Hours South - The Offa's Dyke ULTRA

24 Hours South - The Offa's Dyke ULTRA takes place on 8 and 9 May 2027 and starts at the Nova Centre in Prestatyn. Participants travel south along the Offa's Dyke National Trail for a 24 hours period; the solo runners and teams furthest south when the period ends are declared the winners. Entries are available for solo competitors and for teams of two to four members. Teams may change members at any time and more than one team member can be on the trail simultaneously, but each team member must cover some distance.

The event provides GPS tracking and six checkpoints along the route where food and drink and preplaced drop bags are available. Some checkpoints have indoor facilities. All participants must arrange a dedicated support driver and vehicle to collect them at the end of their participation; support crews may meet competitors on the trail but must not carry items for them while moving on the route. A mandatory kit list is enforced and includes items such as a full body waterproof cover, survival bag, at least one litre of water at the start, a charged mobile phone, map and compass, whistle, charged head torch, spare thermal layer, hat and gloves.

A finisher medal and a certificate are provided to participants. Key mileages along the Offa's Dyke path include: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
