Trail Running calendar near Lake Tanglewood 2026-2027

A trail running event at Palo Duro Canyon State Park on Saturday, Aug 23, 2025 offering a half marathon and a 4 mile course. It marks the return of the Spring Trail Run previously hosted by the Lone Star Runners Club.

A 5K mud and obstacle run at Bowers MX in Amarillo on October 10, 2026 with Adult and KIDZ Family waves, required signed waiver and photo ID for adults, no refunds, and a spectator fee for festival area access.

A multi distance trail race at Palo Duro Canyon State Park on October 17, 2026 offering 25K, 50K and 50 mile options. The looped route runs over singletrack, sand and rock, features four stocked aid stations and a cupless policy.
