Merus Marathon & Ultra is a trail running event on 04/17/2027 at Merus Adventure Park in the Palo Duro Canyon near Claude, Texas. The event offers several distances across canyon terrain and varied surfaces.

The park’s rim elevation is 3,412 feet above sea level and the lowest point on the canyon floor at MERUS Adventure is 2,500 feet. Most elevation changes on the course range between 100 and 500 feet. Trails pass over sand, sandstone, red dirt, rock, stone, and clay, reflecting many years of erosion and distinct color layers. The route provides open canyon views and a variety of surface conditions as distances progress.
Registration for most distances opens 24 July 2026 and closes 27 July 2026; the youth run has a later closing date of 18 April 2027. Entry fees are specified per distance. The race shirt cutoff date is March 26. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
