Trail Running calendar near Morristown 2026-2027

A team relay across roughly 200 miles in Western North Carolina, starting in Pisgah National Forest and finishing at Nantahala Outdoor Center. Teams of 6, 9, or 12 split the course into 36 legs and register between June and September 2026.

A 100 mile mountain trail race in Old Fort NC on May 7, 2027, the Hellbender 100 climbs to Mt Mitchell with about 48,000 feet of elevation change. Organized by the RUN828 Foundation, it is a qualifier for Hardrock and Western States.

An obstacle mud run at Montvale featuring a 5K and a Fun Run for children; the course has over twenty obstacles, a lake dip, vendors and music, and proceeds support Montvale's therapeutic programs.

A running event in Burnsville NC on June 5, 2027 offering 50K, 25K and 11K routes with up to 12,000 ft of elevation gain. Courses are point to point and maps, aid station details and a runner handbook are provided.

A 6 Miles trail race at Rocky Fork State Park on June 19, 2027. The 3 mile out and back logging road course supports the Friends of Rocky Fork and counts toward the Trail Series.
