Trail Running calendar near Weldon 2026-2027

Tackle the Tar is an annual 5K obstacle course and family fun day in Rocky Mount featuring a mud pit and 15+ obstacles. Proceeds support local college scholarships and a separate 1 mile kids race is offered.

A trail run of about 10k that features roots, gravel, rough terrain and low hanging branches. Water stops are self serve and participants must bring their own hydration; wave starts are used to manage trail volume.
