Trail Running calendar near Hoby 2026-2027

Five trail races take place on Sunday 3 May 2026 around Ilmington in the Cotswolds, from 10K up to a 100K ultra, with feed stations, baggage support and route navigation aids for longer distances.

A Peak District fell race from Rainow Institute covering 8 km (5 miles) with 230 m of climb. Pre-entry is required and opens 1 March 2027; fees are £9 for members and £10 for non-members.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Weston Park is an obstacle course across paths, tracks and grass with some hills and on site parking. Entrants must be at least 13 and take part in staggered wave starts while raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Shires and Spires is a Naseby based running event with routes on roads and trails that change direction each year, offering distances from a 10K up to a 35 mile ultra and charity entry options.

A measured, chip-timed 5k through Middlewich canals and trails with a family fun run on the cricket pitch; medals, goody bags and age-group prizes for finishers.

The Chilterns 30km will take place in Tring Station on Sunday 9 May 2027. You can run between 18 and 30 kilometers.

A brewery-to-brewery 50 km ultra through Nottinghamshire villages with checkpoints every 6-8 miles, solo or paired entry options, finish-line food and tap room access, and a commemorative pint glass for finishers.

A Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Braunstone Park on 15 May 2027 combining grass and path with climbs, crawls and slides. Waves start every 15 minutes, participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

A backyard ultra on a 4.167 mile off road loop in the Lincolnshire Wolds that repeats hourly until one runner completes a solo lap. Entry is limited to 100 runners and basic HQ facilities, camping and mandatory kit are required.

A Star Wars 50th Anniversary weekend on 5 and 6 June 2027 at Caldecotte, Milton Keynes featuring marathon and half marathon races around Caldecotte Lake, unique finisher medals, on-course water and toilets, and time limits for each race.

A 24 hour trail challenge in Edale on a fixed half marathon loop (23.3 km, 977 m ascent per loop). Runners repeat the loop after an initial clockwise lap, self-manage transitions and entry is limited to 50 participants.

A four day running festival in Tameside, Oldham and Glossop on 17 June 2027. It features four consecutive runs across country parks, moorland and town streets, with distances from a 10 km trail to a half marathon and a 7 mile town race.

A hilly six mile fell race on Friday 18 June 2027 starting in Stalybridge and running up to the Trigg point on Hobson Moor. It is the second event in The Tour and lists single event and Tour entry options.

A point to point half marathon along canal towpaths from Wolverhampton to Brindley Place in Birmingham, featuring a 360 metre tunnel, time trial wave starts and floating drink stations every 3 miles.

A supported 100 mile ultramarathon in the United Kingdom, Cheshire Ring Ultra 100 Mile is scheduled for 25 and 26 September 2027 and is part of the Ultra Great Britain Race Series with live GPS tracking.

A 100 kilometre trail ultramarathon on 9 May 2026 around the Chiltern Hills, following an anticlockwise loop past Ashridge, The Ridgeway and Whiteleaf Hill. Fully marked route with GPS tracking and several staffed aid stations.
