Trail Running calendar near Wamboin 2026-2027

The Jogalong and Mini Jog will take place in Yarralumla on Sunday 5 July 2026. You can run 6 kilometers.

A five-race winter trail series around Canberra with short, middle and longer distance options across local nature reserves and ridges. Course maps and gpx files are provided and series entries include earlybird and late rates.

A 100 km trail around Canberra that can be run solo or in teams of two to four. The loop starts and finishes at Rond Terrace and passes major nature reserves and city landmarks, with marked trails, aid stations and official timing.

Round two of the Canberra Runners Winter Series takes place at Stromlo Forest Park on 8 August 2026, offering cross country races over 2, 4, 6 and 8 km. The event is open to all ages and to both members and non members.

Capital to Coast runs 28 to 30 August 2026 as a weekend stage event from Canberra to the south coast across nine stages of trail, fire trail and singletrack. It is organised by Canberra Runners and relies on volunteer support.

Monthly park-based handicap events at Weston Park featuring short distances for women, girls and children, with different fees for members and non-members.

A two-day trail running festival at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra offering marathon to a 2.5 km kids run, ITRA indexed and family friendly with an on-site recovery hub.

Trail running at Kowen Forest from Wamboin Community Hall on the third Sunday in January 2027. Choose a 21.1 km half marathon with 680 m climb or a 12 km single track course; mandatory safety gear and a 4.5 hour cut off apply.

Choose from marathon, half marathon or 12 km on groomed forestry trails through Kowen Forest, with significant climbs and a marathon that qualifies for Six Foot Track. The event is at Wamboin Community Hall on 20 June 2027.
