About the race
The MarchMingle is a two day walking and hiking event based at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia in Acton, Canberra, held across 20–21 March 2027. It is presented as a series of noncompetitive Mingles that range from gentle city routes to longer trail and bush hikes. The program includes city walks, nature path hikes, and bush trail hikes with varied terrain and mostly approximate distances (the marathon distance is exact). Minor route changes may occur.
The festival offers seven Mingles and several multiwalk combinations. A Two Day medal is awarded for completing any two Mingles that total more than 24 km. Several event entries include a bus transfer to the start point and finish back at Event HQ.
