The Honey Badger Half (& 5K/10K)
The event is a trail running series at China Camp State Park in Santa Venetia, San Rafael, CA, held on Sun, 9/13/26. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon
Entry fees vary by distance and registration period: 5K from $35 to $50, 10K from $50 to $70, and the half marathon from $75 to $100. All participants receive a Honey Badger woodallion from Aravaipa Artworx, a Honey Badger tee, a Honey Badger beer sampler stein, and additional items.
Course maps and elevation charts are provided for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon courses. The half marathon is described as a stout trail challenge; the organizer does not recommend the half if a runner has not previously covered that distance or does not currently do trail running.
Parking inside the park is limited. The organizer suggests carpooling with two other participants and notes there is parallel parking outside the entrance to Miwok Meadows.
In the event of cancellation for causes such as wildfires, hazardous air quality, hazardous weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or other events beyond the organizer's control, refunds, transfers, and credits are not supported. If canceled for those reasons, race swag will be shipped to participants and guidance will be provided for navigating the courses independently and submitting results.
