Event overview

The Yandina Five 'O' is a trail running event organised by Run Queensland on Saturday 13 June 2026 in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Races start and finish at Terella Brewing, 196 Bunya Road, North Arm. Courses run through Mapleton National Park and some private land, crossing creeks, passing a lookout and using hilly terrain. Distances offered are:

  • 36 km
  • 21 km
  • 12 km

All finishers receive a memento and entrants receive an event shirt. There are no entries on race day.

Race details and logistics

Minimum ages: 12 km - 12 years; 21 km - 15 years; 36 km and 50 km - 18 years. Cut-off for all races is 6 pm. Entry fees vary by distance and by early-bird and standard periods; prices include an event shirt, a finisher's memento, parking and a courtesy bus from the parking area to the start/finish area. Refunds and transfers are subject to organiser conditions and deadlines; transfers incur a fee and are permitted only until late May. No transfers to other events and no deferrals to next year.

Parking is at 124 Lees Road, Bridges, with a courtesy bus to Terella Brewing; parking or drop-offs at the brewery are not permitted. Support crews and spectators are not allowed on course and may only be at the start/finish area.

Course markings use reflective flagging tape, red directional arrows and red crosses to indicate wrong routes. Mandatory gear includes a visible race bib, mobile phone, a snake-bite compression bandage, and minimum hydration capacities (50 km: 1.5 L; 36 km & 21 km: 1 L; 12 km: 500 ml). A headlamp is mandatory for 50 km competitors. Drop bags are permitted for the 50 km race only and must meet size and material requirements.
