Event overview

The Yandina Five 'O' takes place on 13 June 2026 in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The event uses trails around the township, including sections through Mapleton National Park and some private land. Courses cross creeks, pass a lookout and include hilly terrain. All races start and finish at Terella Brewing, 196 Bunya Road, North Arm. The event base includes food, drinks and activities at the brewery.

No entries are permitted on the day. Minimum age limits apply: 12km - 12 years; 21km - 15 years; 36km and 50km - 18 years. All finishers receive an event memento and entrants receive a special edition t-shirt; sizes are pre-ordered so late entries may not receive chosen sizes.

The course is marked with reflective orange and silver flagging tape (about every 250 m), red directional arrows and red crosses for incorrect routes. Checkpoints 1, 2 and 3 provide water, electrolyte and small snacks; water stations supply water and electrolyte. Disposable cups are not provided; participants must carry their own cup. Mandatory items include a mobile phone, race bib, headlamp for 50km competitors, a compression bandage and minimum hydration capacities: 1.5 L (50km), 1 L (36km & 21km), 500 ml (12km). Drop bags are permitted for the 50km at checkpoint 2 only and must be soft, labelled, under 15 litres and 2 kg, with no glass. Parking is at 124 Lees Road, Bridges, with a courtesy bus to the start/finish; no parking or drop offs at Terella Brewing.
