Yandina Five 'O'
The Yandina Five 'O' is a trail running event held in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The name of the event is derived from the local Indigenous language, where Yandina means "to go on foot." The race is staged from Terella Brewing in North Arm, Queensland, where participants and spectators can access food and drinks.
The courses traverse the trails of Mapleton National Park and sections of private land. The terrain includes hills, creek crossings, and lookout points. Age requirements apply to each distance, ranging from 12 years for the shortest course to 18 years for the longest distances. All events have a final cut-off time of 6:00 pm.
The event offers several distance options:
- 12 km
- 21.1 km (Half Marathon)
- 36 km
- 50 km
The event location at the craft brewery also provides entertainment for children. Early bird registration is available until mid-March, followed by standard registration fees until the day before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
