Yandina Five 'O'

The Yandina Five 'O' is a trail running event. The name Yandina means 'to go on foot' in the local Indigenous language. The 2026 edition is the 5th running of the event. It takes place on trails around the township of Yandina on the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

The event offers four distances:

  • 12 km (for participants aged 12 and over)
  • 21.1 km (for participants aged 15 and over)
  • 36 km (for participants aged 18 and over)
  • 50 km (for participants aged 18 and over)

The courses go through Mapleton National Park and some private land. They include sections across creeks, past a lookout, and over hilly terrain.

Round 7 of Season 13 at Ewen Maddock Dam on 1 March 2026 features short and long course trail races with professional timing, race photos, series points and a post race coffee cart. Distances are 8.2 km and 14.4 km.
