WXT Ultra : Titusville, NJ
WXT Ultra is a trail running event in Titusville, New Jersey, held in Washington Crossing Park and nearby Baldpate. The event offers two distance options and uses trails, short road sections, and several aid stations.
- 50K course
- 25K course
The 25K follows mostly single-track terrain and includes about 7.5 miles inside Washington Crossing Park with some short road sections. The 50K begins on the same initial 7.5 miles, then crosses Church Road into the state side of Baldpate to connect with Pleasant Valley Road. From there the route passes around Howell Living Farm via Valley Road to the Dry Run Creek Trail, which leads to the Rock Hopper trail and an aid station at Route 518.
Rock Hopper is described as the most technical section. The 50K includes an out-and-back segment that enters on the Blue trail, crosses a creek, continues on the Red trail to Orange, crosses power lines, and then returns the same way. After exiting Rock Hopper, runners cross Route 518 and return to Washington Crossing Park along the inbound route.
Aid stations are located near the Nature Center in Washington Crossing Park, near the Pleasant Valley Road lot in Baldpate, and at the Rock Hopper trailhead at Route 518. The 50K cut-offs are four hours to reach Rock Hopper and 2 hours 45 minutes for the final segment out of Rock Hopper. Proceeds benefit the Washington Crossing Park Association. Nearby hotels include Courtyard by Marriott Ewing Princeton and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ewing Princeton South. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
