Screamin' Hill Scramble 5K
The Screamin' Hill Scramble is a cross country style 5K held at Screamin' Hill Brewery in Cream Ridge, New Jersey. The course runs through groomed trails and short cut grass on brewery grounds where some brewing ingredients are grown. The field is limited to 300 participants.
The event is chip timed with instant results and includes awards for the top three male and female overall finishers and age group winners (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years thereafter). A water station is available on course and finish line supplies include water and bananas. Free downloadable photos and free parking are provided.
Entrants receive a high quality race tech shirt in women, men or youth sizes, with an optional upgrade to a women's racerback tank for an extra fee and an optional men's tank at no extra fee. Registration details included a fee of $46.00. Each registered adult entry includes a ticket for one Screamin' Hill craft beer and a custom event beer glass; soda is provided for participants under 21.
Walkers and children may participate but must be registered and start behind the runners for safety. A one hour time limit is requested. The after race area features a live musician, a food truck, and brewery service. The event is rain or shine and offers no refunds or deferrals. Packet pick up is available race day at the Good Day for a Run tent from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Volunteers receive a drink ticket and a free future race entry.
