Event Overview
The WXT Ultra takes place in Titusville, New Jersey, with the course starting and finishing within Washington Crossing Park. Due to construction at the Visitor Center, the base of operations is located near the campgrounds and soccer fields off Bear Tavern Road. The event offers two distinct distances for participants:
- 50 km
- 25 km
Course Details
The 25 km route consists primarily of single-track trails, including a 7.5-mile section within Washington Crossing Park and short segments on paved roads.
The 50 km course begins with the same 7.5-mile loop before crossing Church Road into the state-owned portion of Baldpate Mountain. The path continues to Pleasant Valley Road and circles the Howell Living History Farm via Valley Road to reach the Dry Run Creek Trail. This section connects to the Rock Hopper trail, which is noted as the most technical portion of the course. The 50 km route utilizes an out-and-back format for the Rock Hopper section, following the Blue, Red, and Orange trails before turning around at the road and returning to Washington Crossing Park.
Logistics and Support
Aid stations are positioned at several locations, including near the Nature Center in Washington Crossing Park, the Pleasant Valley Road lot at Baldpate, and the Rock Hopper trailhead at Route 518. Specific time limits are enforced for the 50 km distance, with a 4-hour limit to reach the Rock Hopper section and a final cutoff to exit that section within 2 hours and 45 minutes of arrival. Proceeds from the event benefit the Washington Crossing Park Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
