The West Yorkshire Winter League (WYWL) is a competitive cross-country running event held annually from November to February, featuring seven races. Exclusively for fully paid-up members of 16 affiliated clubs, participants compete for individual and team awards across various age categories. Each race covers a challenging 5 to 6-mile course, with chip timing introduced for the 2024-25 season.

The league emphasizes a strong community spirit among runners, with complimentary buffs for those completing five out of seven races.
