The event is organised by Running Wild and is based at the Fairmont Resort, 1 Sublime Point Road, Leura. Two distance options are offered:

  • 11 km
  • 16 km

Entry fee listed for both distances is $65. There are competitor limits and no entries on the day.

Course and cut-offs

Both courses start and finish at the Fairmont Resort and run through Blue Mountains National Park on single trails and stairs. The route passes Lilian’s Bridge, the Conservation Hut, the Wentworth Falls picnic area car park, Chester Rd, the top of the falls, Fletcher’s Lookout, the Undercliff Track and the Overcliff Track before returning to the Fairmont. Elevation gain is listed as +545 m for the 11 km course and +645 m for the 16 km course. The Valley of the Waters cut-off requires all runners to be there within 2 hours; that point is 12 km for the full course and 9 km for the short course. The course is marked and marshals are positioned at key points.

Aid stations, rules and facilities

Aid Station 1 (Conservation Hut) provides water and fruit. Aid Station 2 (Chester Rd) provides water, fruit and electrolyte. No cups are provided on course; runners must carry at least 500 mL of water and comply with the event "No Water No Result" policy. Toilets are available at the Fairmont hub and at the Conservation Hut. Headphones are not permitted; walking poles are allowed. Volunteers are used for aid stations and marshalling.
