Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge Beatton River Valley
This event is a trail running and hiking event held at the Beatton River Valley Viewpoint Trail near Cecil Lake, British Columbia. It is a fundraiser for local school food programs. There are no refunds for this event.
The course is described as rolling and there are no time cutoffs. Participants may run or hike; many choose to hike parts of the route.
Distances and elevation gains:
- 5 km - about 150 m elevation gain
- 10 km approx - about 450 m elevation gain
- 21 km approx - close to 1,000 m elevation gain
For this edition the route sequence is reversed compared with prior years: the 10 km course runs the section usually used by the second half of the 21 km, and the 21 km finishes on the section formerly used by the 10 km.
