Course and support

Courses use two-track ranch roads, rural dirt roads, and maintained gravel roads. Aid stations are placed along routes, and support is provided for both the gravel rides and the half marathon. Cellular coverage at Vermejo is extremely limited; the organizer advises downloading course maps for offline use.

Rules, prizes and logistics

Class 1 and 3 eBikes are permitted on the 41-mile distance; eBike riders are not eligible for podiums. Podium divisions include Women Under 40, Women 40+, Men Under 40, and Men 40+. A minimum combined payout of $4,200 is listed for the top five overall men and women, with specific amounts for first through fifth place. Packet pickup and onsite registration are available on race day; onsite registration accepts cash or check only. Limited onsite camping is available by reservation.
