Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run and Hike

The Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run and Hike is an annual trail event presented by the City of Glendale. The event is produced by the City of Glendale Community Services and Parks Department and benefits the Glendale Parks and Open Space Foundation. The 2026 edition is the 11th running of this event.

The course begins in Brand Park, climbs steadily to one of the highest points in the Verdugo Mountains, and then returns downhill to the finish. The course reaches 2,536 feet above sea level and provides views of the L.A. Basin, the San Fernando Valley, the Pacific Ocean, and the San Gabriel Mountains. The route includes sustained climbing and a descending finish.

A free t-shirt is available at packet pickup in unisex sizes from XS to XXL; shirt size is not guaranteed for entries completed on race day. Packet pickup is scheduled on Saturday, May 2 at the Glendale Sports Complex meeting room, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale 91208, and there is a race day packet pickup on Sunday, May 3 at the event location. Experience the scenic beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains at the 41st annual Great Race. Choose from multiple distances including a panoramic half marathon, 10K, and 5K, followed by a large post-race celebration in Chumash Park.

A community trail run at Ernest Debs Park organized by True Heart Fitness. The loop follows several named trails, passes Debs Lake, and includes steep sections; participants are responsible for their own safety.

Coastal trail racing at Point Mugu State Park with a 13.4 mile half marathon and a 6.9 mile 10k featuring ocean view switchbacks, finisher medals, free race photos, a 21 plus beer garden and post race amenities.
