Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run & Hike (May 3, 2026)
The Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run & Hike is a single-course mountain event produced by the City of Glendale’s Community Services & Parks Department to benefit the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation. The route covers 6.2 miles with approximately 1,686 feet of elevation gain.
The course begins in Brand Park, climbs steadily to one of the higher points in the Verdugo Mountains, reaches a race high of 2,536 feet above sea level, and then returns on a downhill section to the finish. From high points along the route participants can see the Los Angeles Basin, the San Fernando Valley, the Pacific Ocean, and panoramic views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
The event is organized as a combined trail run and hike, and past participant comments note organized staffing and active volunteer support. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, assistive listening devices are available upon request; requests must be submitted 24 hours in advance to the City of Glendale.
