About the race
The Great Cow Run (Higashi Roman Memorial Run) takes place on September 05, 2026 at John Glenn High School in Norwalk, California. The event is organized by alumni of Cerritos High School to support the school and the local community and to mark the area’s Dairy Valley history and the memory of those who have been lost.
The event program includes an open memorial run, a child and youth sprint called The Spotted Calf, and a high school invitational. There are both in-person and virtual participation options.
Distances offered:
- 3 miles in-person fun run, walk and jog
- 3 miles virtual
Current course maps and check-in information will be provided on site and sent by e-mail with registration. There is no bag check on site.
Parking is allowed only in legally marked spots and attendees must follow traffic rules. Cars may be towed if not parked properly. The high school lot will be a paid parking zone and cash is requested for payment. Registration fees listed for the event include an in-person option from $35 and a virtual option from $40.
